Below the Brine is the human story of post industrial America, ravaged by the opioid epidemic; raw and uncut. 

Through the addict, the cop, the drug dealer, and the child, this film takes the full tour of growth and decay in America’s most forgotten city.

Alex Spiess

Alex is a senior communications major, minoring in global studies at Marist College, where he serves as chapter president of Marist's Society of Professional Journalists, and plays strong safety for the football team.
